Intended use The KermaX ¢ç plus TinO IDP is designed to be installed on diagnostic Xray units (attachment at the collimator) in order to measure the levels DOSE and Dose Area Product (DAP). In the following chapter we will descibe the function and use of DOSEfunction and DAPfunction. To switch between DOSE and DAPfunction press the Reset and Testbutton at the same time. This can be done before or after a measurement Those who use the KermaX ¢ç plus TinO IDP for the collection of data about dose surface product, carry the full and entire responsibility to critically evaluate the results of each measurement. Measurements To switch between DOSE and DAPfunction press the Reset and Testbutton at the same time. This can be done before or after a measurement. The first sign after the value (e.g. 0.000 m or 0.00 ¥ì) indicates the DOSE or the DAP display mode. Example DAP 0.05 ¥ìGym©÷ Example DOSE 1.350 mGy Technical specifications Reproducibility: < 1% (at constant pressure and temperature) Energy dependence: better than ¡¾ 8 % related to 100 kV according to IEC 60580 from 40 to 150 kV. Intended use This manual is an integral part of the KermaX ¢ç plus TinO DDP as a measuring device and should always be kept nearby. Observance of the manual is required for proper performance and correct operation of the KermaX ¢ç plus TinO DDP. The system and its accessories must not be used for any other purpose than described in the accompanying documentation (intended use). Violation will result in loss of warranty. Basic Setup The KermaX ¢ç plus TinO DDP measuring system consists of the following minimum (standard) components ssembly & Installation Instructions for the KermaX ¢ç plus TinO DDP 1. Slide the chamber into the lower accessory rails of the collimator. Ensure that even if the collimator shutter is fully open that no shadows from the chamber are visible in the light field. 2. Connect the chamber using the 18 m long connecting cable (AKP cable) with the RS485/232 TinO Converter (RJ45 Jack). Connect the 9 Pin RS232 connector (from the converter) with the RIS KIS TinO cable. 4. Connect the RJ45 Jack from the RIS KIS TinO cable to the RS232 socked. 5.
